Beltangady, Jun 13: A police constable has been suspended for assaulting the members of Campus Front of India when the organization was holding a protest here.
Police constable of the police station here, Anand has been suspended. When the members of the said organization were holding a protest here, Anand allegedly attacked the activists, as per a complaint filed by the activists of the above organization.
The district superintendent of police, who got an inquiry conducted through police officers, issued an order, suspending constable Anand with immediate effect. Superintendent of police B M Laxmi Prasad, stated that Anand has been suspended on the allegation of beating up activists of Campus Front of India and that further investigation would be held in the matter.
