Dubai : JMJ Celebrates Fourth Anniversary

Dubai, May 10: ‘Jesus Mary Jospeh’ [JMJ] Prayer Group, well known largest prayer group of St.Mary’s Church Dubai joyfully celebrated their 4th Anniversary on 8th May 2009 Friday evening at the church main hall.
With a thanksgiving hymn, JMJ choir group initiated the event. Group Advisor Lawrance DSouza, the proficient comparer of the evening , invited the dignitaries on the stage. Rev. Fr. Peter - the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr.Freddy - Spiritual Director of the Group, Aboline D’Cunha - Vice President of Parish Council and Boniface Carlo - Main Coordinator of SMKC were escorted to the stage by the Group Coordinator Herbert Menezes. As the Group’s new Coordinator Oswald Fernandes welcomed all Guests of Honour on the dais, little members presented flower bouquets.
In his brief report, Herbert Menezes delivered the current year’s achievements as well as forthcoming plans of the group. Fr. Peter appreciated group member’s ever-ready approach and participation in every activities of the church. Fr. Freddy also valued all members’ dedication and involvement in the growth of the group and advised to continue their support in future too.
The core member Jerina Lewis thanked the outgoing Group Advisor Sydney Lewis and the Core member Prajval Culaco for their 4 year’s committed service to the group. They were presented mementos by Fr. Freddy.
This was followed by the new core team introduction and announcement for the year 2009-2010 by the spiritual Director Fr. Freddy. New Core Team will have Oswald Fernandes (Main Coordinator), Jerina Lewis, Richard D’Souza, Daniel Saldahna, K.Lawrance D’Souza, Jerald Ozee Fernandes and Lancy Crasta. Nominated Advisors are Lawrance D’Souza and Herbert Menezes.
Herbert Menezes, departing Coordinator thanked all the people assisted him during his tenure. Sydney Lewis rendered vote of thanks.
Cultural program began with a humorous Konkani Drama ‘Bijjabachi Garage’ well enacted by the Core member Richard D’Souza and his team. A beautiful dance by small members exhibited great dancing talents of these children.
Program concluded with a delicious dinner provided by Jackystar Restaurant, Dubai.
