MLA Raghupati Bhat urges CM to spend time in Udupi during village stay programme

Udupi, Jun 19: K Raghupathi Bhat, MLA of Udupi constituency, has requested chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to spend time in Udupi during his proposed village stay programme.

In a letter addressed to the chief minister, Raghupathi Bhat has requested him to stay in government high school, Karje where there is concentration of most backward class and backward tribe community.

“Out of several problems, people are facing hardship due to scarcity of sand for the last one year. Government projects such as Ashraya Mane, road construction and building construction have stopped half way because of that and construction workers are struggling without jobs. There is scarcity of drinking water due to monsoon issue and cultivation activities are hit. There are problems of sea erosion, lack of shelter for people in rural and urban areas, title deeds for those who have built houses for stay in deemed forest area and several other problems. I request you to solve those problems during village stay here,” he stated.
