Udupi District BJP observes World Yoga Day

Udupi, Jun 21: World Yoga Day was observed by Udupi district BJP on Friday June 21.

Kota Srinivas Poojary, opposition leader, Vidhana Parishad, inaugurated the function. On the occasion, he said, "Today Yoga has given India world recognition. United
Nations on recommendation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared June 21 as World Yoga Day. More than 190 nations in the world today practice yoga which is our own
culture. Yoga also keeps us healthy.”

Yoga teachers Mallika and Mamata instructed the participants in practicing yoga.



Udupi zilla panchayat vice president Sheela K Shetty and others were present during the event.
