Mangaluru, Jun 21: Managing director of District Milk Union Dr G V Hegde inaugurated International Yoga Day here at Kulsekar diary on Friday, June 21.

Addressing the gathering, G V Hegde said, "This is the fifth year we are are observing Yoga Day. It was started in the ancient period and is still followed. Today close to 109 countries are following yoga. Yoga should be practiced in our day to day activity and time should be reserved to practice yoga."

President Ravi Raj Hegde said, "Today Yoga Dday is celebrated through out the world. Yoga is very important to maintain our health, by practicing yoga in our day to day life we need not dependent on doctor and we will be healthy throughout."

Patanjali Yoga trust convenor Gokul, demonstrated yoga.

M V Ravi compered the programme and Prakash Shetty welcomed the gathering.

Union members Geetha Shetty, Jagareshayya, Srinivasayya, Sathish and others were present.
