Bantwal: Motorbike hits tipper truck - Rider killed

Bantwal, Jun 22: The rider of a motorbike was killed on the spot and the pillion rider suffered grave injuries after the two-wheeler he was riding collided with a tipper truck. This accident happened at Kominadka near Pandavarakallu in Badagakajekaru village on Friday June 21.

The youngster who lost his life was Prashanth (30), son of the late Raghava Poojary from Ramanagara in Kakyapadavu. The injured pillion rider stands admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru.

The motor bike brushed against the rear wheel of the tipper that was moving towards Pandavarakallu from Madantyar. A leg of the bike rider was amputated in the accident. The nature of injuries suffered by the pillion rider are of critical nature, it is gathered. The motor bike was also badly damaged.

The deceased is survived by mother, brother, and two sisters.
