Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jun 28: A team of police personnel led by Kannur deputy superintendent of police, P Sadanandan, succeeded in detecting four passports and Rs 13.45 lac in cash hidden in a house in Kannur. They have taken possession of cash and the passports. It is said that these things were stashed away by the members of a Mangaluru-based gang of robbers.

It is said that the passports and cash were hidden in the residence of relatives living at Alikkode, without the knowledge of the family concerned. Those who kept passports and cash concealed at Kannur have been identified as Muneer and his son, Siyas from Mangaluru, who happen to be among six robbers related with a robbery which took place within the limits of Mulky police station recently. Muneer and Siyas are absconding.

These two robbers, after hiding the above things in the residence of a relative, used to frequently visit the family to make sure that the things hidden by them are safe. Kannur deputy superintendent of police, Sadanandan, based on secret information he got, led a team of police to the said house and took into possession passports and cash. Mulky police station has been informed about the finding.

In the meantime, there is information that the Fortuner car that had been stolen by Muhammed Sinan and Sawad alias Karimani, who happen to be members of a notorious inter-state gang of thieves, and who had been arrested by Mulky police, were taken into custody by Goa police. The Goa police had approached court at Moodbidri seeking custody of the thieves which the court upheld and ordered them to be handed over to Goa police.

Yes, they are the elitist of all and are in a class of their own. In my view they are the biggest robbers looting not one particular family but the whole country.
