Bengaluru: Pained by statements of Congress leaders - JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jun 30: Former Prime Minister and chief of JD(S) H D Deve Gowda was seen visibly disturbed by the repeated statements of state Congress leaders that the alliance with JD(S) was the cause for their defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that these kind of repeated accusations have pained him.

Deve Gowda was speaking here after partaking in the meeting of youth leaders of the party on Saturday, June 29.

"Are the Vokkaligas responsible for the defeat of Kharge in Kalaburagi and Muniyappa in Kolar?" he questioned.

"Some state Congress leaders have recently informed the Congress high command that the alliance with JD(S) was a wrong move. They have also said that JD(S) has stabbed them from behind. All these developments have pained me," said Deve Gowda.

Deve Gowda further said, "We are accused that ours is family politics. I have always given opportunities for leaders from backward and minority communities. I will not contest for elections anymore."

“JD (S) leaders have decided to conduct a Padayatra of around 1,500 km throughout the state in order to strengthen the party. This will be done in two phases beginning from August 20. I have told the leaders of the party to start the process as soon as possible,” he informed.

Ajja, you should be happy that the helplessness of Congress to keep BJP out of power has given a bounty to your whole family. Still not happy?
Revanna roams with lemon, Kumaraswamy sleeps on mat and spends one crore, grandson gets defeated in election and creates ruckus in bars and restaurants. your official daughter-in-law also has entered the fray.
What more is required Sir? If needed kindly give tickets to the maids and servants of your home too. But keep one thing in mind. Your party should be renamed as Hassan-Mandya-Mysuru limited as it does not have presence anywhere else in the state.

The initial plan of HDD and JDS was to side with cash rich BJP for a huge moolah or a monthly hafta for support . It was a tension free approach. However Siddu a foe of the Gowdas ran to Dodda Gowdru under instructions from his boss RaGa with a deal. The deal was to offer support to HDK to be the CM despite being the 3rd ranker that too 'unconditionally'. The bottom line was to keep the Congress in & RaGA in 'survival' mode. Most of the Congi victorious candidates were 'benched' as JDS leader got good posts in the Govt . The JDS and the Gowda family members grew on their platform . HDKs was elected as a RS member. His son was launched as a film star and politician at the same time . Revannas sound is now a MP. Subsequent to the huge loss in the LS elections, the Congress is now on the verge of being extint while Gowdas have made it. Most of the Congress do not have standing or support in their own constituencies. So its too late when Congress has realised their grave mistake.

The Cong has lost the game here by siding with JDS . Kannadigas irrespective of their political affiliations are very furious due to this move. JDS was NOT peoples mandate. More than 100 of their candidates had lost deposit in the RS elections. So it was not a party that has been accepted by any one in Ktaka for that matter. Today JDS is ruling Ktaka on their terms and Congress is turning a blind eye biting the bitter pill. Why should anyone support Congress going forward?

Dear Sir, Though the Cong and its ghulams hate to admit it , its a fact. Agreed, it was under their pressure you alligned with the Cong. With the JDS candidates given lucrative ministerial berth including the CM post unconditionally, you had it your way and its very right. This was all to save the career of the every losing Raul Vinci Khan. The only difference is Cong looked for short term results and shot in their foot. Now their x&ctum is under fire. RaGa has been rejected all over India and the party has no future. Siddaramiah is the peon for your daughter in law. How will an ex CM feel . So its just burnol moment for Congis.
