Dubai, Jun 30: Tariq Abdullah Ali Al Hawai, a Dubai Civil Defence officer from Etihad (Union) Firefighting Centre, passed away while trying to tackle a building blaze that broke out in the Business Bay area on Saturday.
The civil defence, in its official tweet said, "Corporal Tariq Abdullah Ali Al Hawai from Etihad (Union) Firefighting Centre has died while trying to control the fire that broke out at an under-construction building located on Al Abraj street," the civil defence said in a tweet.
No injury has been reported in the fire that broke out t 10.40am on Saturday in the buildings parking lot.
