Bengaluru: People in state are not ready for election - Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jun 30: "If they are able, they should conduct administration in proper way. If not, they should resign and leave. People of Karnataka are not ready for another assembly election," said, B S Yeddyurappa, state BJP president.

Yeddyurappa was speaking at the programme of gratitude organized by the BJP unit of Vijayanagar legislative constituency. He further said, "People, who are shattered due to the drought, are expecting relief. But the coalition government has not even completed 13 months in power and is speaking of going for fresh mandate. The electorate is not ready for another election. For whom the elections will be held?"

"When we see the present situation, the government may collapse anytime. We do not call any Congress or JD (S) MLAs to join our party. But if their MLAs come out of the party on their own and cause the fall of the government, then we are not responsible," added Yeddyurappa.

Yeddyurappa further said, "BJP has won 303 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. We need not ask the help of any other party to run the government. In the state of Karnataka also, if BJP would have got 115 seats instead of 105, the picture would have been different. Then BJP government would have been ruled in both state and center. The state could have been developed into a modern state."
