Beltangady, Jul 1: A young entrepreneur met an unexpected death here on Sunday June 30 after he suffered from electric shocks. The deceased has been identified as Altaf Waghir (28), resident of Kuntini near Ujire, and son of Ibrahim, who happens to be a trader in gunny bags.
Altaf had used a spray gun to wash his car at around 6.30 pm on Sunday. When he was trying to unplug the wire attached to the spray gun, he reportedly suffered from electric shocks. It is said that he shouted to his elder brother, who was nearby, to put off the switch. But because of wet conditions, his condition had worsened by then. He was taken to Benaka Hospital but the doctors found him already dead. Therefore, his mortal remains were shifted to the government hospital in the town here.
He has established an identity in the area of being a successful gunny bags manufacturer. He also was the president of Al Ameen Youngmen’s organization at Ujire. Altaf was a good sportsman and was a black belt in Karate. He had married three months back, and his new house is under construction.
Altaf has left behind wife, parents, two elder brothers, and five elder sisters. A report about this death was registered in the police station here.
