Mangaluru, Jul 1: Former union minister and veteran Congress leader, B Janardhana Poojary, who had taken a pledge before the Lok Sabha election never to visit Lord Gokarnanatha Temple at Kudroli here again if Congress candidate for Lok Sabha election, Mithun Rai, failed to get elected from Dakshina Kannada constituency, has regretted for having taken the said vow.

Poojary visited Lord Gokarnanatha Temple on Sunday June 30, and implored the Lord to forgive him for having taken the above vow. Poojary, speaking at Town Hall on March 25 this year just before the filing of nomination papers by Rai, had promised to stop visiting not only the temple at Kudroli, but also churches and mosques, if Rai fails get elected. This unusual pledge had given rise to debate at various forums.

Poojary who unexpectedly came to the temple on Sunday evening, circumambulated the main sanctum sanctorum and idols of family deities at the temple, and offered prayers. He confessed in the presence of the gods that he had committed a blunder and sought forgiveness.

This happened to be his first visit to the temple after the March 25 vow. Poojary, who is credited with the construction of this magnificent temple by putting to use his organizational skills, was otherwise a frequent visitor to it.

Poojary told the media persons that he had committed the greatest mistake of his life by taking a vow not to visit the temple. He said he was repenting it and expressed the view that no one should take such vows. "I felt today afternoon like getting inspiration from the divine to visit the temple and pray to the deities to repent for my mistake. I accordingly have come here to ask the Lord to forgive me. I will similarly beseech in the churches and mosques," he stated.

Why involve the Deity in politics, which are purely actions of man? One shouldn't take vows on political issues.

Mr Poojary realized that he had committed a blunder only after realizing all over again that Nalin Kumar Kateel is the man of paradigm change, of the masses with unquestionable integrity and efficiency.
However, the bankers are yet to forgive him for his madness as Minister of State for Finance, an act that has made all PSU Banks sick with all those massive loan melas and write-offs.

Asking Forgiveness From God is a Blessing... Good Decision By Mr. Poojariji... We Should not Involve God or Religion in A Dirty Game of Politics Played by Humans... Good to see him Back in Temple.

Its Modi who contested and won! People did not vote for development. More over he is asking for Gods forgiveness and not from human being. hence nothing to worry or feel bad. Its ideal for him to stay away from politics and enjoy retired life.

Nalin has been the MP for 2 terms prior to the victory. Its a clear sign that he is efficient. 8 lac people cannot be wrong. Moreover People are fed up with the minority appeasing Congress. The Thought of RaGa being he PM too drove everyone . Firstly Mithun was a wrong choice as a candidate. Pettist's can win only college level elections. He had nothing to offer. He was a bali ka bakra by Congress.

Does not surprise me. There are many such promises made that he has not fulfilled. Not a man of his word. Typical Congress culture. Ideally Poojari should have kept his promise. But he knows that no one will question him. As it is there is no one in Congress and the party is literally extint now.

Its good to see the usual Congi chelas getting emotional on Pooajry's forgiveness episode. Its okay for them now. Had it been any BJP leaders in Pooajrys place making a vow and asking forgiveness, you could has seen a different picture here. The leaders religion would have been mocked, Modi , RSS would have been dragged to the episode and comments would have exceeded 100 by now.

This is the best decision of Mr. Poojary.

In his old age due to some emotion he would have said something inappropriate, for which he seeks forgiveness.

All are not perfect. Mistake happens.

During old age it is normal to become emotional like kids. In an emotional state of mind he brought God during a political event which he should not have.

So he seeks forgiveness, instead of carrying on with the mistake.

If he his become old and committing mistake than it's responsibility of god and godesses to take care of him..to whom he trusted the most. On same belief he challenged god. Over confidence even god wont like. For him we are worst than dust.
