New Delhi: S M Krisna, Veerappa Moily Make it to Manmohan Singh's New Cabinet

New Delhi, May 22: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be sworn in for a second term along with 19 other ministers, including Pranab Mukherjee and P. Chidambaram, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Friday evening, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has announced.

Sources said that former Karnataka CMs S K Krishna and Veerappa Moily will be the part of cabinet ministers who will be sworn in on Friday evening. While S M Krishna will be the External Affairs minister, Moily is likely to be the speaker of the parliament.

The two non Congress leaders to find a cabinet berth are Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee.

Besides Mukherjee and Chidambaram, the Congress ministers who will take oath are A.K. Antony, S.M. Krishna, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sushil Kumar Shinde, M. Veerappa Moily, S. Jaipal Reddy, Kamal Nath, Vayalar Ravi, Meira Kumar, Murli Deora, Kapil Sibal, Ambika Soni, B.K. Handique, Anand Sharma and C.P. Joshi.

This will be followed by an expansion of the council of ministers, including ministers of state as well as those junior ministers who will hold independent charge of their portfolios, in the next few days, the PMO said in a statement.

    Even though I am Aderent BJP fan for its polices, fact cant be ignored that S M Krishna was the most deserving CM of our state. Person is my first choice and party second. Congrats SMK. Do good for Karnataka. Ultimately whether BJP or congress we want peace & karnatake as example & Mangalore a peice of haven in karnataka.

    Ssame old wine, same old corruption, people will live with no expectations from govt as before. maybe some blasts here few farmer suicides there. These politicians multiply their assets, transfer money to Swiss banks . Sad for the Indian citizen.
