JSPL's Angul plant posts record production of hot metal


Bhubaneswar, Jul 3 (IANS): India's largest blast furnace belonging to Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) produced its highest ever hot metal production of 10,845 metric tonne for a single day at its Angul plant in Odisha on Tuesday.

It is also reported that this is the highest ever production by any of the blast furnaces in India, said a company statement on Wednesday.

The furnace is stable for the last one week and has continuously produced more than 10,000 tonne per day, the statement said.
