Kundapur, Jul 8: Fr Stany Tauro, parish priest of Holy Rosary church of the town said that donating blood is the greatest donation.

Fr Tauro was speaking after inaugurating the voluntary blood donation camp that was organized under the joint auspices of Catholic Sabha, Kundapur unit and Rotary Club, Kundapur South with the active participation of Indian Red Cross Society and Rosary Credit Coop Society at the auditorium of Holy Rosary church of the town.

In his speech, Fr Tauro said, "Blood is the gift of God's creation. Blood can only be self-made by every creature in its body. It is not possible to create it artificially. That is why there is prime importance for blood in society. The health of the blood donor also improves by donating blood. In addition, it fulfils the demand for blood also."

President of Red Cross Society Kundapur Jayakar Shetty, Wilson D'Almeida and Shobha, secretaries of Catholic Sabha Kundapur unit were present. Blood donors were felicitated during the programme. Walter D'Souza, president of Catholic Sabha, Kundapur unit welcomed the gathering. Devaraj, president of Rotary club south rendered the vote of thanks. Jonson D'Alemida compered the programme.
