Udupi: 'Maarikale', chidlren's play selected for state children's drama festival

Udupi, Jul 8: 'Maarikale', children's drama directed by stage director of Rangabhoomi (R) of the city Raviraj H P is selected for 'Chinnara Chilume - Makkala Nataka Yojane', the state level drama festival sponsored by Kannada and Samskruti department.

This drama festival, which is going to be held between July 8 and 11 at Ravindra Kalakshetra in the city of Bengaluru, will be inaugurated by the chief minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy. The drama, 'Maarikale' is written by Prakash Anantadi, primary school teacher of Puttur. The music is scored by Geetam Girish. Dance is composed by Amritha R K. Stage setting of the play is done by Sripad Hegde. Lights are arranged by Nitin Perampalli. Costume design of the play
is done by Srilaxmi Acharya and Anvitha Bhat. The play is co-directed by Rajesh Bhat Paniyadi.



The drama will be staged at the Ravindra kalakshethra on July 10. This drama has already completed 15 shows in various places of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Mysuru districts.
