Beltangady, Jul 10: In a tragic incident which happened at Guruvayanakere bus stand in the taluk on Tuesday July 9, a conductor who lost his balance and fell down from a bus, lost his life.
The deceased has been identified as Srinivas S (54) from Choorigatte Salagoppa in Sagar taluk. The private bus in question was on a trip to Moodbidri from Beltangady. After some passengers alighted at Guruvayanakere, the bus moved ahead unexpectedly with a jerk, Srinivas lost his hold on the rod and got thrown down from the bus with force. He suffered grievous injuries to his head. He was rushed to a hospital but the doctors there pronounced him brought dead.
A case of negligent driving in this connection was registered in the traffic police station here against driver, Mustafa (29) from Mulky.
