Abu Dhabi, Jul 15: An Arab national stood trial at the criminal court for allegedly setting his neighbour's car on fire. The public prosecution pressed charges against the accused but he denied all the accusations in the court. The accused, in his defence, said that he had been asking his neighbour not to park his car in front of his house.
The accused said, one day before the incident, he warned his neighbour not to park his car in front of his house. However, since the neighbour did not heed to his warning, the accused made a call to his neighbour and threatened to set vehicle on fire if he ever parked it in front of his house.
The accused told the court that on the day of the incident he went out to take care of some business. When he returned, he found that his neighbour's car was burned. The accused said he has not committed the crime and he had only issued threats in a fit of rage.
