Beltangady, Jun 16: Two persons died at the bathing bay of Dharmasthala near here on Monday June 15. While one of the pilgrims drowned, the body of a girl was recovered from the river bank.
Out of 12 college students who had come on a pilgrimage to Dharmasthala from Gadag, Manjunath (20) drowned while taking bath. Even after intensive search, his body could not be found.
In the meanwhile, the body of a girl was found on the banks of the river. Reportedly, the body was found covered a big cloth. Beltangady policemen have registered cases.
