Jaipur, Jun 22: A 13-year-old girl committed suicide after she was allegedly raped by two youths of her village while she was returning home in Ladam village in Pallu police station area in Hanumangarh on Sunday.
According to reports, the girl, belonging to Meghwal community, had gone to hand over food to her father, who works under NREGS in a field on the village outskirts. While returning home, the duo, both Rajputs from the same village, forcibly took her to a deserted place and raped her.
The two then fled the spot leaving her behind bleeding profusely. Too shocked to bear the ignominy, the girl committed suicide by jumping into a well on the outskirts of the village. Later in the day, villagers spotted her body and informed her family.
Pallu SHO Arun Kumar said the police have registered a case against the two youths and are conducting raids to arrest them.
