Mangalore, Jul 15: A probable incident of moral policing by a Sri Rama Sene activist was thwarted by the vigilant police deployed in front of the deputy commissioner’s office in the city on Wednesday, July 15.

The man, Mohammed, who the Rama Sene activists were planning to assault had come to the marriage registrar’s office at the DC’s premises to wish the couple who were his friends and had come to the office to register their marriage. Later on the insistence of the family members of the couple, he also joined for a cup of tea in a hotel outside the premises. However, Rama Sene activists, who were present at the venue to organize protest against Siddaramaiah for allegedly issuing statements to arrest Pramod Mutalik alleging him to be behind Mysore violence, were irked by the presence of the man with the couple.

As soon the Rama Sene members gathered in front of the hotel intending to beat the man, the situation turned tense. However, the policemen deployed as security measure for the protest timely intervened to keep the situation under control. Soon the man was escorted by the police outside the hotel and the disturbed by the turn of events, the family members of the couple about 15 members too moved out of the hotel.

Veeresh, a family member of the couple said that the person targeted by the Rama Sene activists was known to the family as he was the colleague of the bride. On meeting him at the registration office, we also invited him to join us for tea. There is nothing wrong that occurred here that the Rama Sene activists had to interfere, he said.

Madhu Kumar, a Rama Sene leader said that the activists wanted to question the man as he was behaving in a much uncultured manner.

Let there will be one sene for watching public smoking, one to watch public drinking, one to watch the girls wearing blue jeans, one to watch boys and girls talking in the public, one to watch women eating by themselves in a coffee shop, one to watch playing movie song in public, one to watch who are wearing western dress and one to catch all the fork and knife. Close all the police stations and let these moral armies run the country, and we can finish everything very fast. What a crazy culture of the 21st century!.

Madhu what culture do you and your followers practice. Yyou don''t have any right to interfere in anybody's marriage. Just by coming to limelight in this way you will not gain any political benefit. You will only degrade your name and your community's name. Just refer Ramayan and study about Ram. Ram is respected by people of all the religions because more than a god's avatar, he was good kind-hearted soft person, which you all lack. Try to learn from him.
