Bengaluru, Sep 28: A gang of nine that had killed a woman living alone in a barbaric fashion and made good their escape with her gold ornaments, stands arrested. Police personnel of Kamakshipalya station made these arrests.

The arrested accused happen to be Mahantaswamy (23) and Deepak (26) of Nelamangala origin, Sharat (20) and Lokesh M (21) from Mandya, Chitralingaiah (20) and Kumar (21) from Mandya and three others.

The gang had murdered Parvathamma (63), who was living alone in a house inside Mutarayaswamy extension at Sunkadakatte on September 18. The gang had taken away her gold ornaments. Parvathamma's son, R Manjunath, had filed complaint in this respect in Kamakshipalya police station.

The policemen who hit the trail of the murders, arrested the accused. During the interrogation, it is learnt, the gang members confessed to their crime. The operation was conducted by Vijayanagara subdivision assistant police commissioner Dharmendra H N, under the guidance of city (west) division deputy police commissioner, B Ramesh.

The police came to know that the murder was committed by people known to Parvathamma. Mahantaswamy was well-versed with Parvathamma and her family details. He was the one who drew up plan to kill her and rob her ornaments. On September 18 afternoon, he had asked Parvathamma's son Manjunath, to reach a spot away from his residence, in the guise of discussing with him about a site. After making sure that Parvathamma was alone at home, he had entered the house along with his accomplices, murdered her, and escaped with ornaments.

Moral of the story : Learn, the modus operandi, of our beloved netas, who kill, loot n store wealth, for generations...... and never, ever, get caught, or prosecuted for any crimes !!!!!     Where is our GOVT. Still sleeping.Many Home alone elderly couple, ladies are targeted which shows there is no place for elderly people to live in peace in their old age. Children live far away or abroad and leave their parents to stay alone back in their home.No security for elderly aged people.
