Bantwal, Oct 1: “I observe that Bhagavad Gita is being taught in Kalladka Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Study of Bhagavad Gita enriches lives of students and whoever studies it,” said minister of parliamentary affairs in the union cabinet, Prahlad Joshi.

Speaking during his visit to Kalladka Sri Rama Vidya Kendra on Monday September 30 afternoon, he said that education necessarily must include culture, and it is a matter of pride that Indian culture is being taught here along with imparting of education. “Students who get educated here are fortunate and there is no doubt that they will excel in whatever field they choose all over the world. The education that is fortified by such enriching knowledge is not found anywhere else in the world,” he said, expressing happiness.

BJP division in charge, Gopal, Karnataka state joint spokesperson, Sulochana Bhat, Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha president, Dr Prabhakar Bhat, institute president, Narayana Somayaji, convener, Vasanth Madhava, co convener Ramesh N, teachers and students were present.

Activities of students leave minister spellbound

Several cultural activities and samples of sports activities were displayed by the children of the school in view of the visit by the union minister. The minister visited the Gurukula model classrooms and spoke to the children. He enjoyed watching the discipline, smartness, singing, dances, group dances and kolata presented by the children. Different indigenous games that are usually displayed during sports festivals including Yoga skills stunned him. He expressed his appreciation about the creativity of children as well as about the institute head Dr Prabhakar Bhat.
