Bengaluru: War of words - Sadananda Gowda fumes, blocks Sulibele in Twitter

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 3: Union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, said that if anyone thinks that he can build the nation by evoking thunderous response from the audience by delivering speeches branding ministers as beggars, ministers are sitting pretty, none of the 25 MPs from Karnataka are doing anything, etc, he is wrong. He also reminded that Mahatma Gandhi had said that those who spread rumours are traitors. "Perhaps these people fall in this category. Provoking people through speeches and tweets is unwarranted," he added.

The central government's failure to release any relief to the flood-affected regions of north Karnataka has given rise to Namo Brigade guide, Chakravarti Sulibele, criticizing MPs from Karnataka and singling out union minister, Sadananda Gowda for failing to get central grants for flood relief.

"I pity the people who have been giving false information to the people by spreading unsubstantiated stories about the compensation amount for the flood-affected regions. Union finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, has already given information about the reports prepared by the state about the immediate funds needed for flood-affected areas, intermediate relief, and long term relief plans," Gowda said in a tweet.

He said that the state government under the leadership of chief minister, Yediyurappa, has already undertaken the work of providing immediate relief to the affected people. The union government will announce about the compensation for intermediate and long term compensation based on reports soon, he stated.

Sadananda Gowda said in his tweet that differences of opinion and criticisms, critical evaluation etc are natural phenomenon in a democracy but one has to understand the limits within which he should confine himself. If people indulge in personal vilification, I cannot go on replying, he responded. "The affected people are our own. Their welfare and future are our responsibility. We have wiped their tears," he stated.

In his tweet, Sulibele said that the entire state feels pity about Gowda for branding people of north Karnataka affected by the floods as those who mislead others. "Never forget that the ministerial position has been gifted to you by the people in the form of alms. What is the use of the compensation if it does not come even after floods recede and people are trying to revert to their normal activities?" he wanted to know.

Former union minister, MP and senior BJP leader, Ramesh Jigajinagi, took exception to the word, 'alms' used by Sulibele. He said that the MPs are not beggars and Lok Sabha members are not people on the street.

Speaking to media persons at Vijayapura on Wednesday October 2, he said that MPs too have self respect and they too are human beings. "We know that providing relief is like our own house work, and we are totally involved with it. The central government has not said that it will not provide funds for flood relief. All of us have been in touch with the concerned and hope to get funds soon," he stated.

As Sulibele continued to attack him personally, Sadananda Gowda has since blocked him in twitter, it is gathered.

For a change, sulibele has come out of his blind admiration of Modi.

Till recently he worshipped him and now realises that the people who matter are useless.

This is a bitter pill for smile Gowda to swallow.

I request sulibele to travel from mangalore to sakleshpur by road and know that Modi can't be the solution to all problems if he surrounded by useless MPs

I cannot understand what these MP's think of themselves...
They are representatives of the people, to work for them...
Now if Sulibele has voiced a concern about flood relief, why should Gowda's blood boil? What are his priorities?
The Central Government has failed miserably in providing flood releif to the people of Karnataka.
    Let down completely!
from a state where they got 25 LS seats....
Wonder if it has gone to their head or there is some plan to dislodge BSY...
Whatever, the people here should not suffer....
    Very pathetic state of affairs...

One of them is telling lies. One of them is trying to expose the truth. One of them knows nothing and one of them knows everything but cannot do anything. But people know everything and cannot do anything. So for Karnataka , flood or any calamity we have to be independent and be ready to face anything and not to trust the government.

All these MPs know they are elected by the EVM , so they’re least bothered. Even they cannot fight with their bosses because EVMs can make MPs whomever they want. Without strong opposition democracy is impotent.

All should know that for our future we need to choose the same Party in the State and at the Centre. So, BJP is ruling in Karnataka and at the Center. So, where is the problem. They said, better to have same Party for them. Not for the voters. Voter's issue does not come here. We voted, not they voted. They fooled us, lets accept it first.

Central Govt should not take Karnataka for granted.

Flood Disaster has happened couple of months back and we saw only central ministers conducting survey. No relief is either declared nor released and all are keeping mum.

Our central ministers and all ruling party 25 MP's do not have any spine to talk about it or press the central Govt to release funds. State Govt has also not pressurized Central Govt and dragging it.

People of affected areas are losing patience and they need to be rehabilitated soon and has to be reimbursed for the loss they incurred.
Opposition was also not able to raise the issue when needed.

These so called elected MPs know very well that they are MPs because of EVMs and not because people elected them, and they are sure they will win next time also, but if they talk against Feku&Daku duo , they won't get a ticket next time. in BJP, even if you give ticket to a Dog it will win, EVMs are programmed.

Sulibele did no wrong. Gowda suddenly finds he has a thin skin! All MPs have forgotten that they are there to serve the people and they are MPs due to the people. If the MPs from the state cannot do anything timely for the state, they deserve neither respect nor their seats.

Earllier state congress government who ruled straight more than ten years emptied ex-chequer by doing bankrupt financial and non-financial institutions. Congress who lended money in crores are fled and now staying near buckingham palace in same vicinity. Our eligible yuvraaj do conduct visit to meet his defaulters. Reason behind his legacy share lying with them.
