Belagavi, Oct 4: Upset for not getting compensation for crop loss during recent floods, farmers who were protesting outside Circuit House in Belagavi, slept in front of the chief minister’s vehicle in an attempt to stop him.

Around 10 farmers stood outside the Circuit House while Yediyurappa was hearing the grievances of the people from the district. When the CM was about to leave, they raised slogans against the union and state government and demanded immediate release of the compensation. They blocked the CM’s movement by sleeping in front of his car.

The police personnel intervened and shifted the farmers and made way for the CM’s vehicle.
