Mr.Ronald Fernandes (Ex-Army), Bantwal/Dubai I agree with you that war heros have been neglected by every Government after the war was over. Your message is real eye opener to every politician, who is busy in making money. I salute you and Mr. Rangappa with deep gratitude for serving our country with respect and patriotism. Its really shame that you need to work in some other country to eak out your living after fighting for our country. GOD bless you both.

Appreciated. But Padubidri residents could have choosen a hall to falicitate him instead of infront of a closed medical shop on the road side.Is it genuine respect to the war veteran or just a photo opportunity?

Dear Readers. Our war hero has to wait 10 yrs to get the recognition and identity. He has lost both his hands and our Govt. has not kept its promises what it sanctioned. Isn’t it pathetic and disgusting w hen the backbone of our nations martyr’s and heroes are treated this way and given the raw reward. Dear Padubirains we appreciate your generosity of all the organization. By reading we understand there are more than 10 organizations coming together under one umbrella and donated Rs. 36,000/- . My question is - this is the genoroerity to a person who has sacrificed both his hands for the nation. If one income earning family donates Rs. 100/- then only 2000 families money would have Rs. 2 lacs. Suppose our own family members are war sufferer serving nation, how do you feel about it.

Weldone Padubidri people..........keep it up, I salute Rangappa. I am also a war medalist was in Drass sector during Kargil (OP VIJAY) war. So many soldiers sacrificed their lives and disabled like Rangappa and Indian Govt promised so many things to those Kargil heros, but still in vain. I served 16 years 5 months in Indian ARMY and now I am retired (ex-serviceman). Really I am very painful to explain that all the years in my service I left my family at my native (Bantwal) due to all field & border postings, means I lived far from my family. Each and every soldier would like to live with family at least after retirement. But after retirement no one to support soldiers from govt side and no any job placements for ex-serviceman in Karnataka to get their daily bread. Afetr retirement I tried a lot to get job in my native city but in vain. Now again I necessitate to leave family and am working in Dubai due to no value of soldier in my country. My country leaders saluting only cricketers and film heroes because they can get enjoyment and money from them not from soldiers like Rangppa.

Sir Rangappa Huliyappa Alura you are our true hero we your fellow Indians will be forever grateful. Its such a shame that we are celebrating the 10 years of kargil victory when this gentleman is still fighting for his rights.I wish our Govt acts at the earliest or maybe we citizens should take this up on social networking sites a campaign to help Mr. Rangappa with the Petrol station. Let us never forget that these brave men GAVE THEIR TODAY FOR OUR TOMORROW. Jai Hind.

Dear Allura, You are our true Hero. Great Padubidri residents, you have done a wonderful and worthy job by felicitating our Kargil War Hero. Unfortunately the promised gift of petrol pump station will not materialize very soon. As you know our politicians are only good for talk and nothing else. If you were a cricketer they would have poured money on you and given you medals. Unfortunately to our country, only cricketers are Heros and all others who have sacrified their life to the Nation are zeros.
