Mangalore, Jul 26: ‘Master blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar passed through the city airport en route Bhatkal in Uttar Kannada district on Saturday July 25.

Tendulkar came to attend the marriage of his friend, the owner of a shoe company, who is a member of the Nathe family of Bhatkal. He participated in the function at Nathe House in Madina Colony, Bhatkal, on Sunday July 26.

As he was on a private visit, Tendulkar did not give any interviews to the media. Sources from the Nathe family confirmed this and said it was the reason the cricketer did not want to meet any fans or anyone from the media.

He arrived on Saturday at 3.30 pm and left on Sunday.

Sources said that Tendulkar stayed at a private beach bungalow in Jali and also visited Murudeshwar Temple before spending some time on the beach.

Tendulkar was expected to visit Subramanya Temple in Dakshina Kannada district on the occasion of ‘Naga Panchami’ on Sunday, but this did not happen.

Guys, definitely he is a wonderful cricketer which brought him the title "master blaster", no doubt at all about it... I would like to ask anyone who watched his batting especially when he is in his 90s. Could you say that he was playing for country rather than for his own gain to have a century on his record!! How many balls he uses to reach 100 and how many times he has failed to do so? So don't keep them on pedestal just bcoz they are famous personalities great fellows. Was anyone excited enough when the Kargil Hero came to Padubidri??? I could see in the pics that there were only few guys!!!

Dear Malakishor...Sachin Tendulkar is not only the Best Batsman but also a brand Ambassador of India. He took the responsbility of saving Indian cricket for 16 long years. Otherwise we are like Bangladesh in Cricket. Olny recently newcomers have come. Our cricket Board BCCI is the richest Board in the world.Indirectly credit goes to Tendulkar.People watch cricket because Sachin is batting !! Actually he is the Oasis of Indian Cricket. Do you know that Tendulkar is sponsoring food/shelter/education of poor children in Mumbai? How many people are doing it? I call him GOD of Cricket who has been entertaining us all these years. Cricket without Sachin is India without Indira !!

It's really a big honour for the people of Bhatkal to welcome him and have him as a guest. I suppose this is his first visit to entire coastal Karnataka.

Sachin''s visit to Bhatkal is really very amazing. It is indeed shame on the so-called intelligence agencies and media who projects Bhatkal as sensitive area and the hub of terror activities. A person who has the Z-security, visited this small town and moreover he stayed here for 24 hrs without any security establishment. Hello.... Mr CM... are you listening....?

Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa,Veerendra Heggade......are the great people who help the poor people and there are many others who have sacrificed their life for the poor people. Sachin Tendulkar is only the best batsman and a good human being that's all.

Why people behave strange when these cricketers visit for thier personal reasons. They do not contribue anything to the city of Mangalore. One of the comments is about roads and nothing will affect the authorities.

It is disgusting to see Mangaloreans getting over a trivial thing like Sachin Tendulkar''s visit. I do not understand what is so special about his visit. If he had come to mangalore to play a match it would be appropriate to go and see him bat. There are many more issues in mangalore that need to be looked into rather than these petty things.
