Buta Singh's Son Quizzed by CBI

Mumbai, July 30 (IANS):  The Central Bureau of Investigation Thursday night picked up Sarabjot alias Sweety Singh, son of former central home minister Buta Singh, for interrogation in a corruption case, according to a high-ranking CBI official.

"He was picked up in New Delhi and brought to Mumbai tonight. He is being questioned about his involvement in a corruption case of Rs.10 million, and some hawala transactions," said the official.

Since the investigators were still ascertaining Sarabjot Singh's involvement in the matter, he was not placed under arrest, the official said.

The corruption case for which Sarabjot Singh was being interrogated pertains to an atrocities case in Nashik involving a contractor.
