Fishermen in Ras Al Khaimah end up catching 50 tonnes of fish

Ras Al Khaimah, Oct 30: In an interesting turn of events, fishermen at the Shaam area, 40 km north of Ras Al Khaimah caught 50 tonnes of fish on Saturday.
 
The catch was so massive that it had to be transported with the help of 50 trucks. Abdullah Mohammed, one of the three Emirati fishermen said, "The big catch can be attributed to the Dhaqhwa fishing technique."
 
"Special fishing nets are used in this type of fishing. Up to 20 tonnes of fish were caught last year," he added.
 
 
Humaid Al Zaabi, deputy chairman of the RAK Fishermen Society, stated that a certain 'Diyayoh' fish was caught in abundance. "This is a migrant fish and is usually sold at a cheap price," Zaabi said.
 
One of the fishermen believed it was a 'gift' from Allah and hoped it would compensate for their recent loss due to high temperature.

    Sure for fishers it was a feastBut is there no limits to catch?when they catch such a amount of fish,and some rare fish, no wonder ocean will be over fished ,no chance of next generation of fish to be continued.Govt must see that over fishing is not allowed and when small fishes are in net,they should throw back.so is the law
    ocean fishing.
