Doha, Oct 31: QVC and CCRC won their first matches of ongoing 3rd Gulf lights cricket tournament here at West Bay grounds.

QVC won defeated MILAHA by 81 runs and CCRC beat Al Jazeera media network by 122 runs.

QVC won the toss and elected bat. They have scored 187 for 10 in 20 overs. Kazi made 44 in 16 balls with 5 6’s, Subash made 30. Samir 20, Rameez 25 are the other contributions. For Milaha, Faheem took 3 wickets and Mohan took 2. In reply, Milaha, inspite of bright start (58/1 in 6 overs), were all out for 106 in 15 overs. For QVC, Mehtab and Haleem took 2 wkts each and Kazi, Samir, Rameez and Farhan took one wicket each. Kazi of QVC was adjusted as man of the match.

CCRC won the Toss and elected to bat first. They piled up a huge total of 228 in 20 overs. Mazhar A 55, Muzammil 46 and Sajid 36 are the main contributios with bat. For Al Jazeera Abdul K got 3 wkts and Vishal took 2 wkts. In reply Al Jazeera were bundled out for 106 runs. Vishal made 39. For CCRC, Umar took 3 wickets, Shafique, Mohsin and Firdous took 2wkts each. Mazhar.A of CCRC was adjusted as man of the match.
