Dubai: UAE flag hoisted in the vicinity of Burj Khalifa to mark Flag day

Dubai, Nov 4: UAE flag day was celebrated in the emirate on November 3. His highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai hoisting the flag in the vicinity of Burj Khalifa said that the flag is a symbol of unity and source of pride. “We are responsible to protect our flag. We should remember the sacrifices of our martyrs and heroic efforts of our soldiers.”

Dubai communities were called on by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to raise the flag on November 3 at 11 am as part of UAE Flag Day celebrations. HH Sheikha Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan became president of UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi on November 3, 2004.

The Flag Day was launched in 2013 for the first time to celebrate the anniversary.
