Mangalore, Aug 15: The ‘Independence Cup’ tourney organized by the D K District Football Association concluded here at Football Maidan on Saturday August 15.
The 22-day tournament saw the participation of 138 teams.
Hajrath Saiyed Madani High School, Ullal, won the high school category with St Aloysius College ‘A’ team topping the pre-university category and St Aloysius again emerging victorious in the college category.
V Ponnuraj, deputy commissioner, Sadananda Shetty, president of Sport Promoters, Ashphak Moideen, executive director, Unity Health Centre, senior football player Bhasker Bengre, and D M Aslam, president of the association, were present at the prize distribution ceremony.
