Mangalore, Aug 26: The attractive idol of Lord Ganesha, which was installed and worshipped by Bunts Hostel Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti at Omkarnagar here, was immersed after taking the same in an impressive procession on the night of Tuesday August 25.
















A team of skilled Chende players from Kerala, a group of people who chanted Bhajans all along the route and hundreds of devotees accompanied the idol of Lord Ganesha from Bunts Hostel, the starting point of the procession. All along the route, people gathered on both sides of the streets to pay their obeisance to Lord Ganesha.

Sarvajaika Sri Ganeshotsav Samiti honorary president Kodialguttu Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, president Manjunath Bhandary Shedye, convener Balakrishna Shetty, treasurer Padavu Meginamane Umesh Rai, Taluk Bunts Sangh president Nitteguttu Raviraj Shetty, secretary Chandrahas D Shetty, Publicity Committee convener Jagannath Shetty Bala, Talent Hunt Committee president Dr Ashojyoti Rai and several other dignitaries accompanied the procession organized to bid adieu to Lord Ganesha's idol.

The Samiti had organized several unique programmes this year, which succeeded in attracting large crowds.
