Dear Prakash N Rao!!! "fighting whom and that too within the country". You mean fighting with your own Indian brothers and sisters devided by invisible State boundaries! India as we see today with an overflowing population is mired in boundary dispute, riverwater dispute, dam dispute, religious practice dispute, temple-masjid-church dispute...and now train dispute.

While the common man is lured into disputes fighting each other even maiming and killing, our politicians add more mirch-masalas to these tamashas to gain power and amass riches. Can any one stand up to be a TRUE PATRIOT.

During Kargil War, people of India started donating cash and support, regardless of BJP,Congress,or any other political party . Like that, if our political party''s get together and make decision, we can achive many goals and our country will progress better than China or Europe. Stop accusing each other and start re building our infrastructure .Nice to see all politicians together.

Congratulations to Mangaloreans. Please don''t give the credit to wrong persons. Here few comments proves their lack of knowledge. Recollect your memory, few weeks back our local MP Mr.Nalin Kumar was on frontline with a group of selfish people fought for the day train & he him self in touch with the related Authorities until they agree. The result is the begining of new era. Mr.Moily is trying to take the credit by saying the long Dream comes true. Yes, the Congress leaders was only dreaming but could not awake. Mr.Nalin Kumar & group made the dream true & congress politicians woke up from the sleep to take the credit. I don''t know from where the Mr.Oscar Fernandes name comes from? Whats his contribution for Dakshina Kannada. Secondly, This train service to be extended till Kundapur not Kannur. Finally, I request all our people to unitedly appeal to Railway Dept. to maintain the cleanliness of these trains. It is really sad to see the condition of the Konkan railway, MatsyaGandha Express Train to Mumbai (The only one Train available for Mangalore - Mumbai for Mangaloreans). Thousands of small cockroaches & few sharpnose rats travelling with out tickets. Untolerable smell from the toilets, unclean passages, the tea/coffee boys spills the same while pouring to glasses, no attendant to clean the passage or the toilet. No Politicians are bother about the condition of the train.  Let the Almighty bless us.

Mangaloreans had to fight to get a Bangalore train. After fighting for a long time, the Govt with great reluctance introduced the train. Now after giving with one hand, the train is being taken back with two hands. It is being extended to Kannur, so that the people who fought for it did not enjoy the fruits of its struggle. Oh God where is justice in this country. Did even once the Kannur people fight the way with fought?

Our M.Ps'' move is to segregate Mangalore from Palghat Division,Otherwise all railway revenues revenues earned will go to Palghat Division

Mangaloreans have gone around the world in times and have made their footprints there. But the Dream of Mangaloreans to go to Bangalore is realized only now. Better late than never. This should have been done a long time ago anyway. Why our politicians should take credit for this late achievement, I dont understand.

In my opinion, this day Train may be extended upto Kannur and the night Train may be extented up to Karwar so that both the Kerala and Karnataka States can get the benefits. I hope this is good solution. Thanks to all the people who put their strugle to running of the Day train as reality.

Dear All, It would be advisable if the concerned authorities forward the starting point of the train from Kundapura or North Kanara so that the local people from Kanara, Udupi, Manipal will be benifiting by saving a lot of money and time. The local bus operators are hiking the prices without anybody''s control. Udupi MP Mr. S. Gowda is herewith requested to change the starting point of the train from mangalore to even think of North Kanara (karwar, Bhatkal, Byndoor, udupi, managalore onwards to Yashwantpur.
