Tiruvanantapuram: Terror-suspect arrested from Kuwait-bound Flight
Daijiworld Media Network - Tiruvanantapuram (SP)

Tiruvanantapuram, Aug 31: Airport sources have informed, that the immigration officials took into possession a 35 year-old man named Kabir Koyambatudi from Waynad district, allegedly having close links with the terrorists, who had organized explosions in Kozhikode in the year 2006, and in Bangalore, last year. He was arrested from a Kuwait Airways flight bound from Kuwait from here, just before the flight was to take off on Sunday August 30.

Kabir had completed the immigration formalities. The immigration officials  who were then alerted about the fact that he was on the 'look out' notice of the Intelligence Bureau(IB) and that he was about to leave the country for good, caught him before he could flee from the country.

The look out notice was issued by the IB three months ago. The IB had also alerted all the airports within the country to track the movement of Kabir, suspecting that he had links with the above terrorists. The IB also suspects that he had a role in several destructive activities of some terrorist organizations inKerala and that he also was involved with murder cases. He is being interrogated now, at a secret venue.

The flight that was about to take off, started its onward journey 30 minutes behind schedule, because of the above development. At the same time, the policemen of the state feign ignorance about the activities of Kabir, saying that his name is not found in their list of offenders. The IB reportedly acted in the airport without informing the local policemen.

A great job by the authorities. Kabir must be chrged, tried and if fiund guilty must be punished. No body is above law. National interest and security is far more important than individual interest.

Good work by the IB if they had informed the local police certainly they could not catch him, he would have escaped minutes before some how by some disguise.
