Bantwal, Sep 1: Miscreants shot at a jewellery shop in the city here late in the evening on Tuesday September 1, damaging the glass fixtures at the entrance of the shop.

The shooters were on a motorbike when they shot at ‘Suresh Baliga Jewellers’. The miscreants directed their bullets at the spot where the owner normally sits. Fortunately for the owner, Suresh Baliga, he was away at another shop and there were only four employees in the shop when the incident occurred.

Apart from the broken glass, no other injuries or damages were reported.

The owner of the shop had recently complained to the police that he had received threats from the underworld.

Senior police officials including superintendent of police A S Rao visited the spot. Bantwal city police registered the case.

Ha ha ha......This is the fate of people who want to stay in India and do business. Success in Mangalore means inviting trouble. Either you need to be a Goonda in business or pay the Goondas to do business. There is no other way. If there is one, then its the one which goes ''up''!!!!Boom!
