Mangalore: Aloysius D'souza Among District Level 'Best Teacher' Receipients

Mangalore, Sep 2: Popular teacher and Headmaster of Rosario High School Mangalore has been selected for district-level ‘Best Teacher’ award for 2009.
The District Administration announced the awards on Wednsday, Sep 2, 2009. Total 15 teachers from around Dakshina Kannada have received 'Best Teacher' award.
Aloysius Dsouza has been a well-known compere, actor, director and a brilliant orator. He started his career as a teacher in the year 1984 from Rosa Mystica school Gurpur. Until he was promoted as the Head Master of Rosario High School, he had served in Pezar, St Joseph’s High School Bajpe, Christa Jyothi High School Agrar, and St Sebastian’s School Permannur.
In the year 2007 he took charge of Rosario High School as its Head Master.
Upon hearing his nomination for the prestigious award D’Souza reached saying "I am delighted to hear that I have been selected for the award. But I must dedicate this recognisation to my family, specially my mother, colleagues, correspondents of institutions where I worked and working" He further added "I always enjoy mixing with the students and guiding them. I had the opportunity to be part of 150th year of celebration Rosario High School. Being the Headmaster during the celebrations, I felt really proud to be the part of it. I thank Rosario High Schoo correspondent Fr Stany Goveas. Also I am grateful to our Bishop Aloysius Dsouza and Catholic Board Secretary Fr Wilson Dsouza, without their blessings and support I would not have got this opportunity serve the school" he said.
Aloysius is happily to married to Joyce and has two sons Vernon and Vaibhav.
Apart from his teaching career, he has been involved in various community organisations in Mangalore diocese taking active part.
