Abu Dhabi, Sep 7: Udenthichim Neketram, an association of thirteen parishes of Moodbidri Varado, announces with pride , the presentation of the hilarious Konkani drama ‘Sangon Mugdana’ on 2nd October 2009 at 6 pm at the India Social & Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi.
After the stunning success of his hilarious comedies ‘Mithabailacho San Mingel Vado’, ‘Hastay Kithya Pishya’, ‘Sagllem Divchem tanne’, in Dubai as well as in India , Pradeep is all set to entertain you with his unique theatrical extravaganza ‘Sangon Mugdana’.
True to the title ‘Sangon Mugdana’ (which means NEVER ENDING TALES) it is a hilarious comedy with a social theme, which is bound to captivate the audience from scene one.
The cast includes well known comedy actors like Sunil Pinto Hospet, Deepak D’silva Paladka, Clevin D’souza Pangala, Melwin Cardoza Taccode, Santhosh D’souza Mukamar, and many young & old artistes who will display their talents on stage.
Background music will be provided by talented, and articulate musician Cyril Baptist, who has been the backbone of Konkani cultural evenings in the UAE for the past several years.
Title Song Lyrics are written by well-known Writer Avith Barboza, and music is composed by Joel Pereira, and is sung by well-known singer Prakash D’Souza from Mangalore. Dance sequences of this drama are choreographed by Arun Lobo( Feet Beat dance group Dubai)

"One of the best dramas I have watched in terms of story and picturization. Each role was defined very meticulously and each character had a distinct presence. It was not only the comedy, but the sarcasm filled dialogues which were strong enough to bring out the morals. The characters of a father (a traditional band master) and his son (an orchestra loving musician) were quite interesting. Also a perfect stage set up where the typical neighborhood was portrayed quite efficiently. I believe Pradeep Barboza is a promising playwright of the modern Konkani stage and given the encouragement he can deliver wonders in this field. My best wishes are with him and his troupe always.

Pradeep Barboza is back again with his new stage play SANGON MUGDANA, scheduled to be presented on 2nd Oct. in Abu Dhabi. I would say here is a dedicated artist who just loves stage play. He has come a long way from his first stage play ‘MITTA BAIL SAN MINGEL VADO. Thereafter he turned out with 2 more stellar presentations in the form of ‘HASTAI KITYAK PISHYA’ and ‘SAGLEM DINVCHEM TAANE’.
He is a brilliant writer and wonderful performer, who has perfected his talent by sheer hard work . The masses love this dynamic artist, who is simple and humble. He is always open for suggestions and new ideas. The subjects of his stage play normally reflect from the characters and the life styles of towns in Mangalore. He provides ample scope of acting for all the characters and makes them highly curious. He has presented 3 stage plays in last 3 years and now is ready with his 4th in as many years. This is truly a remarkable achievement in an era when stage play is facing a bleak future. In other words , Pradeep has managed to capture the imagination of the audience by regenerating the fading interest.
I request the Konkani community in UAE to extend their complete support for his stage play SANGON MUGDANA. He deserves every inch of your support. As time passes he would be only getting better. I wish him good luck and request him to carry on his mission with unfailing spirit.
