Shocked to read the sad and tragic demise of Prof. Anand Nayak. About 18 months back he visited 8 very poor families of Cascia parish and then onwards he began keeping contact with the poor families through Sadofi Group and during Christmas last year sent financial help for the education of the children of these 8 poor families. This July too those familes received his letters and some of them have already replied to him. Some letter must be on way to Switzerland. May his soul rest in peace.R.I.P.

Very very sad to hear of the tragic death of Dr. Nayak. Although I had not met him personally I have heard a lot about him and knew two of his brothers personally in Mangalore and Mumbai (Jossy and Ossie), both of whom have predeceased him. He was also a keen supporter of the Mangalorean Catholic Bicentennial of 1999 during which time I came to know him through emails. May his soul rest in peace! My condolences to Ann Marie and children, and his surviving brothers and sister in Canada and abroad.
