UAE weather department issues alert, offshore waves to reach 7ft height

Abu Dhabi, Dec 20: National Met department on Thursday evening issued an all night weather alert.

The department cautioned people over the unpredictable conditions which could occur around 10 pm on Thursday to 8.00 am Friday.

Meanwhile, the department issued an alert across seashores where there is a possibility of offshore waves reaching a height of 7 ft in the Arabian Gulf and 6 ft in the Oman Sea.

Earlier in the month, the country witnessed heavy to moderate rain for two weeks, along with flooding roads and valleys.

Due to the havoc caused by flooding, police close down the road to Jebel Jais.
