Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkodi (MS)

Chikkodi, Dec 22: Jagadish Kavatagimath, brother of BJP MLC and chief whip of the government Mahantesh Kavatagimath on Sunday December 22 allegedly abused traffic cops who were on duty at Chikkodi town of the district.

Jagadish is a member of Chikkodi town municipality, in addition to being the brother of chief whip Mahantesh Kavatagimath. His car was stopped by the traffic police of Chikkodi for routine inspection. When he could not produce necessary documents, the police imposed a fine on him. Jagadish, who grew angry at this, allegedly verbally abused the police.

When the traffic police retaliated for the foul language used by Jagadish, he tried to assault a constable. However, other cops who were present at the scene prevented the situation from going out of control. He was then taken into police custody.

The incident took place under the limits of Chikkodi police station.

The public is questioning the administration about the high-handedness of the politicians, who do not care for the bureaucrats as well as the police officers. People have taken to social media to urge the administration to take stringent action against Jagadish, who allegedly misbehaved and even went to the extent of assaulting the police on duty.

A BJP leaders brother and a politician himself assaults a policeman in full view of the public and nothing happens, whereas the common man standing on the road or bringing his children from school is killed under assumption that they may attack the police.
    This is our new India?

Dear countrymen, wakeup as no politician is different, all are the same and do not be fooled by them.

Just today at the Ramilla grounds , NaMo was telling the public to respect the Policemen and his own party members are harassing the Policemen. What we saw in MANGALORE is another Story where the frustrated Policemen lathicharged, used year has and shot dead two innocent people. We have a long way to go, NaMo only talks, he has different Criteria for different situations.
