Udupi, Dec 24: The doctors at KMC Hospital Manipal, who are involved with treating Pejawar Sri Vishweshateeertha Swamiji, briefed the media persons on Tuesday, December 24, about the Swamiji's latest health condition.

Dr Sathyanarayana of pulmonary department described that the oxygen saturation level of the Swamiji has progressed to 98 percent. He said that the doctors are in touch with the doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He said that the Swamiji has been able to maintain healthy blood pressure level on his own without instrumental support.

About the recovery of the Swamiji, he said that the doctors cannot predict about it, adding that recovery primarily depends on how his body responds to medicines and treatments. However, he agreed that there is improvement in his health condition. "On our part, we have conducted all the tests. Let us pray to God that his health condition will improve further. We have been giving updates about his health condition to AIIMS experts on an hourly basis. He is 90 now, and is taking time to recover. The level of his lung infection has come down. Due to lung infection, he was suffering since the last four to five days before he got admitted here. His body and nervous systems do not have enough energy.
