UAE authority orders closure of food store over violations

UAE, Dec 27: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has ordered the closure of ‘Baqala Top Save More LLC’ store citing health-related violations. The authority in a statement stated that the establishment did not improve its poor standard of hygiene that affects the health of consumers despite repeated warnings.

The violations as per the authority include storing large amount of frozen products in freezers and refrigerators, selling poultry and fish from unknown sources and failure to renew license.

The warnings were issued in June, September, October and December this year.

The authority has urged to report such violations to requisite authority.
