Udupi, Dec 28: A complaint is filed at the women’s police station by a woman accusing her husband of harassing her for dowry.
Prabhakar Shetty, a resident of the city, had married Julia, a native of Russia in 1999 in Mumbai.
Later, the couple immigrated to USA and lived there. They have twin boys.
It is said that Prabhakar Shetty started harassing his wife within a few days of marriage for dowry. He is also accused of physical abuse and threat to life by his wife Julia, who has filed a complaint at the women’s police station.
Police are investigating further.
