Puttur: Private bus falls into trench at Uppinangady, passengers suffer injuries

Puttur, Jan 4: A private bus fell into a roadside trench after its driver lost control over it. This incident took place at Amai near Perne on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway, late night on Friday, January 3.

The private bus was plying from Mangaluru to Bengaluru. As it was passing through the narrow and small bridge at Amai, the driver of the bus lost control after which the bus fell into the trench. There were 27 passengers in the bus and fortunately all are safe. Some passengers received minor injuries.

One part of the bus is severely damaged due to the fall. The bus was lifted up in the night itself with the help of heavy equipment.

    It's difficult to understand why this useless guy opening his mouth. GDP has collapsed, Jobs are getting lost and BJP is not worried of anything. We the people if Mangalore deserve this type of uneducated MP.

    Rash & negligence. They attribute their failure to some trivial things. Loosing control is due to high speed and negligence. None penalize them properly as a result this is happening almost daily basis throughout India.
