Ghastly accident in Tumakuru between van, bus - Three burnt alive

Tumakuru, Jan 4: In a horrific accident that occurred on the early morning of Saturday, January 4 near Doddaguni of Gubbi taluk of the district, between a Maruti van and a private bus, three people, occupants of the car were burnt alive.

The deceased are said to be natives of N Hosahalli village of Gubbi taluk and they are identified as Vasant Kumar (45), Narasamma (60) and Ramaiah (55). The remaining three passengers of the van have received minor injuries. They are admitted to the district hospital of Tumakuru.



It is known that the bus was plying from Bengaluru to Shivamogga. All the 40 passengers in the bus escaped unhurt. Gubbi circle inspector Deepak Hegde visited the spot and conducted the inspection. A case is registered in this regard at Gubbi police station.
