Beltangady: Shishila to be First Destination of Nalin's Village Stay Plan

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Sep 22: MP Nalin Kumar will commence his 'village stay' plan by staying at Shishila village in the taluk in the first week of October this year. His next destination will be Kombar village within Sullia assembly constituency.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the Koraga Colony and taking part in the felicitation function organized in his honour at Melantabettu on Monday September 21, he said, he wants to get first hand information about the problems plaguing the villages within his constituency. He stressed, that his visits will be confined to backward hamlets alone. He assured that he would speak to the Chief Minister on the need to re-asphalt Yelaneeru - Didupe, Punjalakatte - BC Road and Guruvayankere - Uppinangady roads.

During the MP's visit to Koraga Colony in Melantabettu, several local residents told him that a few persons had fleeced them after collecting money and promising them to sanction houses under 'Ashraya' scheme, and requested him to ensure that they get benefits under this scheme. He visited the house of Sanjeeva Achary from the village, who recently died in a garage tragedy, and the local Sri Nagabrahma temple.

Speaking at the felicitation function, he told the people that politicians alone can not change everything in the country. While admitting that politicians have hugely contributed to the all-encompassing phenomenon of corruption, he asserted that the officials have been the major players in spreading corruption, and their contribution towards aggravating this menace has been much more, as compared to politicians.  He blamed the Congress Party for giving impetus to corruption.

Former MLA Prabhakar Bangera, Meltantabettu gram panchayat member Balakrishna Shetty and others were present.

Waste of time.....as you  know the problem in advance as your roots are from village.... try to organise meetings in village level, get together your fellow workers and try to solve problems....this way you can work faster...You need to concentrate on all areas not only villages...We have seen such publicity stunt by earlier leaders...you are young and has good future forget this and use new methods...and try to go to villages and solve problems instead staying there .Staying in villages does not solve the problems

Good Work Mr.Nalini.K, Please do it with Good Motives and with Selfless Motives. You should mingle with people and should stay in the village for week or so experiencing village lives specially in the night in the dark under Kerosine Lamp Light. Do not visit to console the people just by words but show it by deeds. Not by promises but show it by initiating promises. Be self less, you will rewarded sponteniously in the comming election.

Good start Nalin, its allways best to start at the grass root level and work from there on. These people who live on the brink of poverty need all the support we can provide. Keep working for the people and see how easy it will be to stay at the helm. By the way, stop playing the blame game and continue with the work you started.

Really a good and encouraging move by the MP. It will help him to interact with people at grass root level and understand their grivances and find solutions. Though the MP may not have neccessary acadamic credentials, but may be having inborn leadership qualities and other blessings. If this move will keep him abridged with the electorate and give positive results why not? Let other bigwigs and peoples representative follow what Mr Nalin Kumar is doing. Dear MP, my best wishes are with you and dont bother about the critics. Opposition may mock at you, but be sincere to what you do and we all support you. Good luck
