'Adapt' if you want to live in India, Ballari MLA warns minorities, FIR lodged

Daijiworld Media Network - Ballari

Ballari, Dec 4: Ballari City MLA Gali Somashekara Reddy has asked the minorities to ‘adapt’ if they want to live in India.

Addressing a pro-CAA and pro-NRC rally at Ballari on Friday, the MLA ‘warned’ Muslims in India from participating in anti-CAA and anti-NRC rallies.

“I want to caution those who are protesting. This (the crowd at the pro-CAA rally) is just 5%. If your antics grow, if 100% people come, just imagine what your situation will be,” he warned.

He also slammed the protesters for believing in Congress. He said, “Congress people are fools. You believe them and come out on the streets to protest. The Hindus are 80% and others are 17%. What will happen to the minorities if ‘We’ (Hindus) hit back? Be careful when you’re in this country,” Reddy warned.

"Caution, tread with caution. This is our country. You have to live in our country. This is my country. My country,” Somashekhara screamed while the audience cheered out loud.

“The Australian Prime Minister had given a statement once. You know what she said? If you want to stay in this country, you have to live as per our customs. Caution. If you don’t, I will send you back to your country. Make sure that you don’t bring such a situation in this country," he warned.

Reddy’s reference to Australian PM’s message come from a viral WhatsApp message which was proved to be fake.

Reddy's speech has become viral on social media. Congress leaders condemned Reddy for his provocative statements and demanded that he be booked. “This shows the mentality of the BJP and their leaders,” VS Ugrappa, former Congress MP told media.

A complaint has been filed against Reddy in Sadar Bazar Police Station in Raichur. The complainant has called Reddy’s statements as unconstitutional and provocative. The station has received the complaint and is yet to file an FIR.

Warning late by 70 years and most importantly, completely out of context.

We need constitutional amendments, wherein uneducated (regardless of age) should be forced to take up education and until they at least pass 10th standard. In 21st Century, such politicians are not only politically incorrect, but are not also suitable for the time.

When people over react, purpose serves of the person who is arousing reaction 😀

That's why it should be made compulsory those who want to enter politics at least he must possess masters in political science and religion then he will never talk like this.those who don't have thorough knowledge they will never talk about religion and mix politics with religion
Here in India I saw most of the politicians before coming to power they talk about development but after they forget everything and focus on religion
In universities you can see there is no difference in religion everybody is friendly and they never talk about religion!
