Hence if a Good Programme organized anywhere in Dubai within the reach of Common Community Member I am sure SMKC will not falling short of Sponsors which everyone we witnessed during its mega Events in Al Nasr Leisure Land.

My Dear Friends Charity begins at home.Again my sincere request to the organizers is to provide a Quality Programme within the reach of all common people. Also my personal opinion is priests should stay away from Such entertainment programmes.( May be Dear Readers my mentality will be low ). Also I am sure just because Fr Freddie is directly involved in this event many of our community members has not raised their concern but I am sure they are in hundreds who are of the same opinion. Wishing all the Best for this Programme and Hoping for a Programme next year which is reachable to All.

Every event has a negative and positive side to it. It all depends on perspective. SMKC needs funds to support worthy causes, which is raised thru sponsorship at these events. It is the generosity of the sponsors that allows SMKC to organise these events, where even a common man gets a chance to dine at a 5 star hotel in his lifetime, the cost of which is subsidised by the sponsorship received from the Donors. So let's take it in good spirit and cheer the people who come together to arrange the events. As you all know a lot of time and effort is required to plan and ute these events. Cheers to SMKC !!!

Dear Fr. Freddy and team, I along with my family wish you all the very best for the success of this programme. Please do not see the negative portion of the comments instead, continue your work for charity. Those who can afford to pay AED100 towards charity, will surely attend the programme and enjoy the 5 star meal with fun. It may not matter whether they earn 800 or 10,000. God bless

Dear Nanu, I agree with your comments. So, its quite clear that this programme is for higher class Konkani people and the proceeds goes to less fortunate people back home. We the middle class and lower people need not attend this. We can attend Picnik and Noven jevon etc.

I am not surprised by comments from Nanu Marol, Marvic, Ashok and Divya. It is for this reason that encouragement for charity, etc. is where it is today. If not for such thinking, there would much less less fortunate people around the world. I wont be surprised if the above 4 people come to attend the konkan showers after having such a negative thought toward such an event.

I dont attend much of SMKCs functions but i do know that they have many functions throughout the year like picnic, sports, cricket, drama, etc. i think the primary target for smkc and such organizations is to help the less fortunate (which is not you and me). With our help and our support, with the money that we spend to buy a ticket, a poor person's life changes. People, please think about that rather than thinking 'oohh, why is SMKC arranging in a 5-star hotel, we cannot afford.' You 4 say that low salary people cannot go. I do not believe that. In Dubai or UAE, a person who is earning 1500 saves 1000. A person who earns 10000 also saves 1000.

The people who you claim cannot afford to pay just 100 dirhams to come to a 5-star hotel, eat, dance, enjoy and go home, many of them spend their money drinking at bars, cigarettes, movies, etc. Please ask God to give you wisdom and DO NOT put obstacles in God's work.

Friends, I would like to quote the following statement from the article: “the main aim of this prestigious occasion is to accomplish the objectives such as to sustain ‘SMKC Education Trust Fund’ and to fulfill the dire needs of the natives of 12 rural parishes of the southern parts affiliated to Mangalore Diocese.” This clearly states that the intention of the event is to help those who are in need and who are less fortunate. Even if we cannot afford to attend I think we should encourage efforts from such organizations instead of putting them down!

For those who are unaware of other events organized by SMKC – the annual picnic, ‘novem jovan’ monthi fest, Konkani drama, sports tournaments, scholastic awards are a few to name. All these picnics, dramas at very very low prices  to be able to accommodate the “thousands of people who are working on very less salary and starving to watch a Good Konkani Programme”.

Moreover, to be able to arrange a show in a Five Star Hotel at a very nominal rate of AED100 is a great thing!!! Which 5star hotel will you get entertainment and food for a price like that! So when such an event is organized, those who can help should do so, if not, keeping in mind the good intentions, we should pray for Fr. Freddy and the SMKC team and wish them success and all the best to help them in their good cause!!!

Congrats SMKC for arranging the program with konkani band this year. Hey Guys, please note that this is a CHARITY program. To be honest, a gathering of the prosperous to accumulate funds for the less fortunate. To bring good artists from India (encourage new talents) and a decent dinner costs nothing less. Some things we can’t do in life, but lets wish good luck to those who do it. Yes we always can’t afford things but let’s not crib those have it, there are certainly many other shows for us to attend. So do not worry, go ahead SMKC, truly wish you good luck and god’s blessings.

Dear Fr Freddy & Team, Please be note that deffinetely it will not be enlivening occasion for all the families of the entire Konkan community residing in the UAE, especially in Dubai as claimed by SMKC but only for those who is living a comfortable life here in Dubai. Please  note that there are thousands of people who are working on very less salary and starving to watch a Good Konkani Programme.

SMKC has deprived those people who all the years awaiting for a Good Programme at Nominal rate. When Common Konkani People Thinking twice to have a Good meal at a Normal Hotel , How they can afford to Dine and Dance at a Five Star Hotel.
