Mangaluru: 'Hindu nation will always exist' - BJP leader hits out at Senthil at pro-CAA campaign

Mangaluru, Jan 6: A day after former IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil tore into the union government over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), supporters of the CAA led by the Ullal zone Rashtra Jagarana Samiti on Monday January 6 held an awareness campaign at Beeri, Kotekar near here and counter-attacked Senthil.

Senthil had said during a protest against CAA and NRC at Ullal that India would not be allowed to become a Hindu nation even in a thousand years, and that Indians will not remain quiet if politicians meddle with the Constitution. Counter-attacking Senthil, BJP Dakshina Kannada district spokesperson Vikas Puttur said on Monday that the 'Hindu nation' will continue to exist for the next thousand years.

"India is not the property of Sasikanth Senthil's father. The Hindu nation has always existed and will continue to do so for the next thousand years," he said.

The awareness campaign was held in support of Citizenship Amendment Act and to condemn the alleged propaganda, damage to property during protests, assaults on police and other acts of violence relating to the enforcement of the Act across the country.

Vikas Puttur further said, "Modi has enacted the Citizenship Amendment Act after he became Prime Minister for the second time in order to correct a historical wrong. We congratulate Modi and Amit Shah on it. While 95% of the people are for the Act, a small group is opposing. Those who do not know the details of the Act, such as Sasikanth Senthil who is trying to further his political ambitions, and U T Khader who does not believe in democracy at all, have come to the streets to protest.

"Pakistan which was bifurcated from the country has violated certain agreements and is ruling the country under Islamic law. While there were 27% Hindus in Pakistan in the past, they are only 2% at present. Similarly 30% Hindus in Bangadesh have reduced to 7% now. It has happened due to repeated atrocities, murders and conversions. Modi government has responded by giving citizenship to such people. The family of U T Khader opposes it.

"Congress people have become jobless after 2014. Opposing the schemes of BJP has become their job. Gandhiji had said during country’s partition that Hindus should be welcomed if they are unable to live in Pakistan. Nehru and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel had supported him. But Khader's party which was founded by such party leaders is opposing such promises," he said.

"There is no connection between Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC. NRC is yet to be discussed. Its opponents are using Muslims as a weapon and causing disturbance. Parents know their son. Mindless people like Senthil and communal people like U T Khader are causing unrest in the society. Ivan D'Souza has gone to jump at Pumpwell," he said.

Defending the BJP over the delay in the completion of Pumpwell flyover, he said, "Pumpwell work has been delayed due to technical reasons. Those who could not bring about development for 70 years are not eligible to speak about Pumpwell work.

"There is no question of Hindus becoming afraid. Families of Khader and Senthil are not coming out to protests. Instead, they are provoking innocent people and pushing them forward. Give a missed call to 8866288662 and support the Citizenship Amendment Act," he urged.

BJP’s Mohan Raj K was present. Ashik Madoor compered the programme. Arjun Madoor welcomed. Ganesh rendered the vote of thanks.

This is the history in which we see a huge number of people protesting day by day against the BJP government to save the country and constitution. None of the protestors holding any party's flag in the protest which is the biggest proof and example of the unity to save the nation.
Around 10% of the population who chant Modi Modi which we can see holding the BJP party's flag and none of them holding the Indian national flag, this is the shame for themselves.

    Anna,
    Lets be logical,
There is clearly no love for illegal immigrants, flush out each and every illegal immigrant or follow the process.
Religion being a favour in the process of obtaining citizenship is not fair, let all the religiously prosecuted minorities come to India, live in India for 11 years and get citizenship through naturalisation where they undergo background check and multiple interviews to be a legal Indian citizen !!
    Whats the big deal ???
Giving citizenship scholastically just because of religion and mercy without knowing who these people are is against the very idea of India and a direct threat to national security. India is a secular nation not a banana republic where people like Amit Shah can openly speak in a manner like he picked up India in a morning jog.

India is a Secular and Democratic country and not surely Hindu Rashtra. Indian constitution embodies the positive concept of Secularism. It means giving equal respect to all religions or protecting all religion equally. In the whole world there is no country as India with so many religions, creeds, languages. Let us keep it secular and lets fight with all those extremist forces.

We see people spitting on their own mouth. They don't know what they condemn and where they stand. They have no control over their mind or tongue. India is a country of migrated people so buddha mahaveer gurunanak satyaharischandra basavanna guru naryan and many saints of tamil nadu vivekananda Tagore Gandhi and many more born and also going to born. The divergence theories for good of man kind will exist. The good ness of great saints of India overshadowed the weakness and evils. So fear not with temporary turnmoil. Take courage

I don't intend to comment on this man's statements on Hindu nation. However, his justification in the delay of the Pumpwell flyover is reprehensible, farcical and condemnable. There is absolutely no excuse for a project that has been hanging fire for years now. It underlines the abject failure of the people who have been given the responsibility to get it done.

Yes. Indian majority cannot keep quiet when someone openly challenges its existence. Silence should not be taken as a weakness. Now the Indian majority will ask such bold questions.

Amit Shah and Modi please don't work so hard and sweat out to bring in CAA, CAB, NPR and NRC and turn India into 'Hindu Rashtra'. With your rule, administration, governance and handling of economy India will become worse than Somalia, so people including Hindus will leave India voluntarily. Good Luck.
